The title `Shihan Dai refers to nominated persons who take the ‘place of Shihan’ when he/she is unavailable to teach or act in post. Within Gima-Ha Internationally this is normally bestowed on those holding Rokudan (Sixth Degree Black Belt).
Within the U.K. Branch these holding Godan or Fifth Degree Black Belt have been nominated as ‘Shihan Dai’.
Currently two seniors hold that position, with at least one other waiting in the wings.
