KARATE KUBZ and MAIN SHOTOKAN-RYU GRADINGS
The Karate Kubz grade through a structured syllabus and follow the international ‘Kyu’ and ‘Dan’ system as set by Japan.
The belt system follows the Gima-Ha International syllabus. Students will show their progression from white belt, red belt. orange belt, yellow belt, green belt, blue belt, purple belt and brown belt (three levels) before eventually attaining the coveted black belt.
This group, whilst dependent upon age and skill may allow the student to progress to the main class at an earlier stage.
1st and and 2nd Degree Black Belts may be attained until the age of 15. At 16 years old they will be enlisted in Japan’s ‘main register’
Karate Kubz will follow the main Gima-Ha Kyu and Dan grade Syllabi, allowing them parity with international groups (and Japan).
